Pete McCambridge
I have inherited a small, partially completed biplane. Best info is that it was built from a magazine plan. Dose anyone recognise it so that I can get some info on completing it? Cheers

Robin Colbourne
Hi Pete, You need to click on 'Albums' on the maroon bar near the top of the screen. This will allow you to upload pictures with a JPG suffix. Once you've done that, click on the picture of the camera at the top of the 'Post a reply' box, and it will let you select the photo. Looking forward to your photos, I love trying to identify a mystery model (model flying machine, that is... ). John Lee
Looks like a Precedent Bi-fly 25. There's a thread on one here.
reg shaw
What span, engine and prop, there's quite a few designs to choose from so any help narrowing down would be great!! Ian.
Alan Gorham_
I don't think it's a Bi-fly, that had strip ailerons and a narrower cowl. My guess is it's a Sierra Sportster designed by Clive Smalley, plan still available from myhobbystores at: **LINK**
Robin Colbourne
John Lee beat me to it! , although it looks like Alan is more likely to be right, as the cowl is definitely not standard BiFly. I was thrown looking at that red and white one in the Modelflying thread which appears to have narrower ailerons. The wide ailerons can just be made out in the black and white picture in Alan's link. Pete McCambridge
It has a 36" span and there is an Enya SS .25 engine in it.
reg shaw
http://www.modelflying.co.uk/forums/postings.asp?th=92451 It looks like a Sierra Sportster to me too, top marks!! Though Pete's model seems to have deeper chord ailerons perhaps?? Ian.
Pete McCambridge
As usual, very helpful, thanks. I'll get the plan and finish it. I'd probably have made it electric. Pete
John Lee
Posted by Percy Verance on 02/01/2017 21:33:19: Didn't the Bi Fly have foam wings and sheet tail surfaces? I remember the Sierra Sportster. And yes, that would be my guess too..... That was the Bi-fly 40. The Bi-fly 25 was all built up & 36" wingspan, but agreed that does look like the Sierra Sportster, both similar models. reg shaw
The timber 'plank' cabane is the giveaway as opposed to the (nicer looking) wire cabane of the BiFly. Ian.
Denis Watkins
This is not a.25 powered BiFly, as I have one, though it is similar. This model has better styling, and the cowl is wider and squarer than the Bi Fly
