Piers Bowlan
Stick the motor with the LiPo in the nose with a carbon fibre driveshaft to the fan. Anyway, I thought you were a man who liked a challenge!

Ton van Munsteren
For me its great fun to make Re-visited models, not specialy the RCM&E models but every old model could be a great new 2017 version. David Boddington Raider. Graupner Chico now called Chica and what a lovely model to fly. Graupner Sonny freeflight Now called Sonny1500 and so much fun to fly. Tomboy just love and have to do some more vintage models for the summer evenings Bigger version of the RCM Q-Tee love those 1/2A desgns The Hegi Frechdax on the pic a redesign by RBCkits, I did a bigger version which I crashed in a mid air and must build a new one someday. Redesign of the RCM glider called Stylus and hoping to get some thermals coming summer. The Zaunkonig was a model from Simprop did e redesign, just love those small biplanes. My latest model the RCM La Stick redesign was for a cox peewee and go's super on a 16gram motor on 2S 500ma And have so many old models on my pc to start working, on and specially the 1/2A size models really love that size. kc
Ton, that looks more like a Sorrel Hyperbipe than a Zaunkonig to me......
Ton van Munsteren
kc, to be honest I don't see the resemblance with the Sorrel Hyperbipe, but if you see it thanks for the compliment. The Hyperbipe is a great looking plane and not to well know, David Boddington had a nice design of that plane published many many years ago. kc
The Zaunkonig was a 1930's monoplane with a very slim fuselage whilst the photo shows a biplane with a fat fuselage! So perhaps the name zaunkonig was recycled for a model bipe.
Ton van Munsteren
Yes I know and it is a great looking plane, but what I did refer to was "Zaunkonig was a model from Simprop" Model Zaunkonig and Iam sure the name for the model then was coming from the bird Zaunkonig Bird Zaunkonig Ton
Steve Hargreaves - Moderator
Some great models there..... Again not an RCM&E design but currently coveting Tony Wrights Diamond from March 79 Radio Modeller...a time when a 40 sized engine seemed impossibly large to a 14 year old nursing prop cuts from a DC Wasp..... A modern 46 or 52 should certainly put a smile on its face.....
