Martin Whybrow Posted July 11, 2017 Share Posted July 11, 2017 RC Model Store is definitely a legitimate business; he's been at the Old Warden shows for the last few meetings and he does have a good range of stock. The website is a bit 'unfinished' at the moment, hopefully he'll sort that out before too long. Note the somewhat odd opening hours (listed on the site) before you try calling! Having found that, I used to use a bike shop that had similar opening pattern, Saturday morning, Wednesday all day, rest of week closed up to do mail order and bike fitting by appointment. Run by an enthusiast who also organised rides and races so was involved with local clubs perhaps as much as he spent time at the shop. I normally stick to a number of trusted web retailers, but sometimes they do not have what you want (or higher prices) I guess if every one stuck to the big stores, the smaller ones would all go under, that being said, you know where you stand. I have done a bit of research, and as stated seen the shows they have attended etc. Having left a number of messages I will give it a few days then have to go through Paypal... Even if it is a part-time venture, my phone and email/contact messages should have been acknowledged by now, surely? It will be interesting to know if he attends the Cosford show then.
