Rather than wasting time trying to straighten a bent shaft, just make a new one.....

Get some silver steel of the appropriate diameter, sources ebay for one, or Macc models ( google )

Securing flats can be added with a small file....and the groove can be cut on a lathe with a piece of broken hacksaw blade appropriately shaped....( if you have a mate with a lathe..cheeky

you know it makes sense !

not expensive and you will have some left over for next time .

PS if you can avoid cutting circlip grooves in the shaft it will eliminate a stress raiser , If there is room use a collet instead !
