can i still bank paper £10 notes

The legal position is that the Bank of England will exchange them for ever as there are a promisary note for £10, but retail banks/building societies are not legally bound to accept them after the 1st March,

From our internal web site the XXXXXXX bank will continue to accept them and that position will be reviewed on the 1st September

They will pay them into your account but they are not obliged to give you notes in exchange.

I remembered that I still had one one earlier today so will be taking it into my bank next week. If they will not exchange it for a new one I will simply pay it in and ask to withdraw £10
