Do you mean Strings or strings ? The former is notorious for causing problems in the small memory footprint of AVR processors, whereas the latter keeps the use of memory under control. Having said that, more memory and a faster processor at a reasonable cost is a welcome upgrade

That is almost certainly the case from his contributions here, but an Operators ID is required for commercial operations, as is insurance, so I think it quite reasonable to ask for details if they are required

Not if you use the UAV for commercial purposes

Whether you need insurance to operate a UAV depends on what you use it for and what class it is in. For recreational use no insurance is required

There is a world of difference between Councils selling a list of names and addresses of voters who have not opted out when registering to vote and what Paul says EDF is doing in France. There is an even bigger difference between that and what was originally suggested, ie that delivery companies are passing on details of users who have had or are expecting a delivery leading to scams concering expected deliveries For what it's worth I agree with an earlier post. Being opted out of the Council scheme to sell names and addresses should be the norm

Centering the sticks is usually a good start to sorting out most "what the Hell is going on ?" situations. You will often get clues as to which direction the model is going in and how it is responding, if at all, which is a good start. Even if you don't then you are in a good position to cautiously enter some deliberate commands, usually rudder or aileron, as you then know how the model should respond Once orientation is sorted you can then start to decide how to proceed. Throttle up/throttle down/elevator up/elevator down any/all of them will have an expected outcome. Whether or not the model responds in the way expected will tell you a lot about the problem and how it should be handled Whilst the process can be described, what happens in practice is that there is often not much time to think about it and experienced flyers take the necessary action by instinct, hence the original "How did you know what to do ?"
