Clive Jones 4
Hi All, can some kind soul post the recommended throws for the Nigel Hawes Tucano that was a free RCME plan WAY back in the day, please? Engine Doctor
Hello Clive . what power system are you using? If its a high power set up throws are very small as it is a VERY fast model.i'll measure the throws on mine and get back to you.

Tom Flynn 1
Hi Clive I built one earlier this year, an absolute gem. The artical is not the best, but is states 8mm movement on all surfaces to start with and adjust to your own requirements. You don’t need that much believe me, but it can be a bit quick. Have fun, I do. Just started building another one.
Clive Jones 4
Thank you Tom. Just to check, this IS the 30" and not the later 45"? Clive.
Tom Flynn 1
Yes that’s the 30, built both, and the larger one is about 10 to 12. There are pictures I’ve added on these 2 on here some where. Yes here they are.

Tom Flynn 1
Hi Clive I would add, make sure you buy the canopy from Vortex vacforms, I think that’s the name. I cracked the first one I bought, so made the one in the picture by shaping old balsa glued together and then hollowing out from the inside. It’s worked ok, but a bit heavy. I’ve just received 2 new once’s from this company. Tom
Clive Jones 4
Thanks, Tom. I already have the model and canopy I am refurbing it with brushless and lipos after rescuing it from the rafters of my shed!
GrumpyGnome
I updated my old small one to brushless and lipo as well..... Very very slippery. Throws about 4mm each way on mine.GG
