Kelly
Hi all,I am about to start building the GWS 190. This is my first foamy so I would value any advice on adhesives. Is the glue supplied up to the job if not what would you recommend for sticking it all together, also what is best to use as a filler on a foamy????Cheers everyone,Kelvin
David Ashby - Moderator
Assume you're building the foamie version and not the EPO one Kelvin?
David Ashby - Moderator
where's he gone? Well if it's foam Kelvin then I would probably use epoxy and cyano for the EPO version.
Kelly
Cheers David, I'm still here, in body if not in mind .Yep it is a foamie, is the GWS glue any good ? it shows it being used to glue everything on the model, but states in the things you need on the instructions that you also need cyano and epoxy ? GrumpyGnome
GWS glue is fine on the foam if you use it as a contact adhesive. Otherwise, you'll be waiting days for it to dry. Haven't built their Wolfy so don't know what the epoxy/cyano is for..... sorry. GG
winchweight
I'd use 5 min epoxy on anything load bearing, foam safe cyano on anything else. You could use UHU-POR if you want as well, but it takes ages to dry and aren't the strongest joints on foam.
