Phil 9
I am looking for some foam to make some tool holders in a tool box. There is plenty high density closed cell foam available but it seem to be expensive for what it is here is an example f:0">http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Shadow-Foam-Sheet-Britool-Draper-Blue-Tool-Box-Organisation-Motor-Racing/222907830005?hash=item33e6578ef5:m:m4hvRYgWPnertqF6LWl9j6g:rk:1f:0 can anyone suggest a cheaper alternative or maybe I can order the same material under a different name? Piers Bowlan
I would have thought Rohacell would be a suitable high density foam but I have no idea how much it costs or whether you have to buy it from the manufacturer, These people seem to supply it. Phil 9
Well a bag of rohacell off cuts cost ?30. I don't know how much material you get for that or if it is worth the gamble

Paul Hartley
Depending on how much you need, you could try your local electrical retailer. If like ours they unpack stuff they deliver then a lot of it comes with decent high density foam pieces (as well as the normal polystyrene stuff) They will just dispose of it so you can get some off them and cut/glue it together to suit. Phil 9
I have ordered some EVA foam floor tiles as an experiment. I think they should do the job and at less than £4 for 4 large tiles it is significantly cheaper that anything else I have seen
