john stones 1 - Moderator
It ain't pretty is it ? Red card looked harsh, but ref has little choice I suppose, not a great game.
Don Fry
Just catching up. Not pretty. Seems to be a big part is the greasy ball in this World Cup.
john stones 1 - Moderator
Don't understand why Samoa didn't kick for touch after a penalty near their own post, they would get put in at line out, and be up the field ? Japan ended up with bonus point try , am I missing something, or it fishy ?
Don Fry
Dunno John, but I hate to say it, but I don't fancy Scotland.
ron evans
Catching up with some of the highlights....England get the job done...Japan good to watch. Don, I listened to some of the game on the wireless and the commentator said that one of the English players (didn't catch which one ) used a whole tub of vaseline on his skin before going on the pitch. Perhaps there is a bit of cross contamination with the ball going on.

ron evans
Wales made hard work of that and were outplayed wide much of the time. Injury worries now.
john stones 1 - Moderator
Japan v Scotland set up nicely now. Sigh of relief in the valleys ? That was a toughie, cracking game.
Don Fry
And if you listen to the press, the match will be like the boxing match where both boxers are bought to throw the match, and dive at the canvas at the bell.
john stones 1 - Moderator
Typhoon threatening England and Scotlands game, hope they get it sorted venue wise, be no game to watch and a disaster for the Scots as a draws no good. Typhoons called Hagibis, similar to Haggis but brings more wind.
john stones 1 - Moderator
No game for England then, nervous days for the Scots.

Richard Wood
Apparently typhoons are not unusual at this time of year in Japan & let's hope this 'Super' one doesn't cause loss of life or major damage. The WC organisers don't seem to have put in place any contingencies at all to reschedule matches. The England v France match could have been one of the best games of the tournament but now we'll never know.. The way they are dealing with the Scotland v Japan game is a farce. ron evans
Fine defence by Eng to snuff out Oz and take their own chances. Scrums still a bit of a time wasting mystery, though I don't think the pitch helped much.
