Les Turrall 2
Hi All, Looking for a home for my Zenoah 26cc engine. looking at Seagull Rans 20 or seagull DHC 2 Turbo Beaver. or similar scale model. I was wondering if anyone has experience of installing this engine into either of these models and if so, what problems did you encounter. Thank you in anticipation. Denis Watkins
Picture here Les **LINK** Looks a straight forward installation
Les Turrall 2
Thank you Dennis for your prompt reply. the Zenoah has a large mounting backplate as a opposed to a beam mount as pictured. the plate is 130mm wide x 80mm deep. wondered if the fire wall was large enough. Looks a nice model. Les T
cymaz
I changed my Zenoah to a cdi box rather than the magneto. Good reliable lump. How about a Tiger Moth?
Les Turrall 2
Thanks Cymaz for your views. Call me old fashioned, but I like the simplicity a magneto ignition. Not really taken by a tiger Moth but if the Zenoah backplate can be fitted to the firewall and the exhaust accomodated within the cowl, then the seagull RANS 20 looks a good prospect. Thank you again. Les T
