Rich Griff
A radial engine warbird sloper soarer like a bearcat has a large diameter cowled nose. A blanked off nose cowl or a cowl with a foam "cone" on the fire wall, and ducts to sort of streamline the nose a bit, but duct the airflow to under the fuz, wings, or to above wings ? Thoughts please...

The yanks know this very well, just look at the US warbird lead sleds they fly at Cajon, Pt Fermin etc. These models are heavy and fly in big lift, but the performance is pretty amazing - watch the mass halfpipe flying at around 45 mins in (or just watch the whole thing, it’s a classic slope video)…
Wookman
That opening sequence is iconic.
MattyB
I went there to check out the view when I went to San Francisco, but they aren’t allowed to fly there any more. Awesome spot though.
Rich Griff
Thanks Matty, great video and flying. I bet some didn't think they were engineless soarers... Kiss for the cowling then Thanks
