Hello one and all

I can confirm we have the airfield booked for October 8th with the usual week later in case of inclement weather ie th 15 th

all the usual info

flying starts 10 am till 6 or dusk whichever comes first

we have a large patch as regular visitors will know 160 mtrs of hard and 120 mtrs of grass

all scale planes are welcome large or small we only ask you to leave the extra noisy ones at home

unfortunately we have no catering but will have tea and coffee on the go feel free to bring biscuits cakes

as you know we have an ongoing issue with threat of site development but again we’re still here so come on and use one of the best sites for scale flying before it goes

if you could please just post a quick hi on here just for idea of numbers

The site’s address is

Ladyhole Lane Ashbourne Derbyshire. Google it trust me there’s only the one

google maps will bring you to the lane and the gates are half a mile along on the left they will be open and manned from 8 30 and closed when flying starts but a call to me past that time will get you in

thaks all the regulars for supporting us over the years hope to see you all again

I'll probably be there, too but, as I haven't flown for months, it'll be as a helper/spectator.  Still struggling with my left eye cataract operation treatment  - I'm OK to drive with one excellent eye (my brother's been doing that all his life) but I need a gentle re-introduction to model flying.

What a super day!😊

Many thanks to Chris and the guys for all their hard work and commitment.  The weather was pretty much perfect - little wind and hazy sunshine.

I counted over 80 models present - ranging from ARTF foamies to full-blown balsa masterpieces.  All were welcome.

Yes, there were one or two incidents, but that's the nature of the hobby, isn't it? 😎

Good to see everybody and to have such perfect weather.  A big improvement on last year and a host of excellent models.

Tim, that last picture is in the wrong thread.  Shouldn't it be in the new models thread along with Paul Marsh's new acquisition which will surely appear soon.
