Piers Bowlan Posted September 30, 2023 Share Posted September 30, 2023 Thicker gauge wire would certainly stop the bending but wouldn’t the lack of give result in the existing wooden blocks being pulled out of the wing in the event of a heavy arrival? Presumably the oleos in the full sized are bolted to the main spar but when you don’t have a main spar in a foam wing, it is a dilemma. Not quite finished fitting mine yet, had to do a lot of sanding on the inside as it was a very snug fit. Just about there now, just need to finish off making it look pretty. martin collins 1 Posted October 30, 2023 Author Share Posted October 30, 2023 Not fitted the cowl on mine yet Roy, been sorting out a 1/4 scale Dr1 which is now waiting to be test flown, will cut and fit the cowl sometime between now and the New Year so it is ready for next seasons flying.
