KenC
What is this darkened patch on the screen of my DX8 Gen 2 , is it damp or the beginnings of the electronics grim reaper announcing his arrival. ?
KenC
OK, just in case one of the 145 readers of this post are intrigued to know the outcome of this " brown patch " ...... I sen the image and a query to John Norris at Logic RC. Very quickly he came back to me with the suggestion that I turn the contrast on the screen down from 10 to around 7. Hey presto ! No more brown stain.
FlyinFlynn
Most people instinctively know how brown stains occur, if only it were that easy to get rid of them normally.🤨
GaryW
I was about to say as soon as i saw ur photo above to turn ur screen contrast down
Manish Chandrayan
Turning the contrast is only a temporary fix. The patch indicates that the reflective surface at the rear of the LCD is on its way downhill
KenC
That's strange Manish as I asked the repair agent for Spektrum and his response was it is fine and the prognosis is no issue.
Manish Chandrayan
Ken, I pray that the Spektrum agent's response remains true. My experience has been different. I have had the display gradually fail once similar patch appeared on my Futaba and JR Tx's.
