Daren Cogdon
This was one of my first RC models - even though it was waaay beyond my capabilities at the time. I did fly it eventually, but only a handful of times. I still have the drawings for it, and the Me109, so wonder how it would do being made from foam?! https://www.cambrianplanes.co.uk/ourshop/prod_2712110-Fun-Fighter-Spitfire.html
leccyflyer
As it happens my pal Bob is currently building a depron Bf109E, based on the Cambrian Bf109E and using the techniques from his FT Spitfire, but should come out a lot lighter than the built up version of the Emil. I'll post some pictures when the model is done.
Daren Cogdon
I'll definitely be interested to see how that turns out!
leccyflyer
Me too - a lightweight depron fuselage that would fit my exisiting Cambrian Bf109E wing could see the old girl taken down from the ceiling and back in action, having previously flow IC/electric/PSS. 🙂
Daren Cogdon
I was thinking of doing the whole thing in Depron, as I have a few 1-metre sheets sitting here, waiting to be used and abused!
Daren Cogdon
Here's one I did earlier, albeit with a balsa fuselage and new wings. It flew OK until the day I parked it nose-first into the field....!
