Mosquito Bomber Pilot's Story

Many years ago, we were lucky enough to have a club night where we were treated to a talk by local man and friend of one of my clubmates , a former Mosquito pilot, Flight Sgt Jim Weston, who held us all spellbound with his recollections of his time as a 23 Squadron night intruder pilot and his later service in the post war Transport Command, including the Berlin airlift. I posted about the talk at the time on RCG. Just a few days ago, I came across a recorded interview produced as part of the International Bomber Command Centre's digital heritage project. The interview was recorded when Jim was 95 and is a remarkable piece, well worth a listen. Sadly Jim died last year, aged 99 and he had been the last surviving 23 Squadron Mosquito pilot.
