Much bigger than the dragonfly I think but not the one we see photo's off from Tims Power Scale Slope freinds at the rock Sorry tim the "big rock" and not obviously a cessna now I'm not completely sure about the manufacturers nationality but "sounds like" an RAF air base not to far from you! well NW of london so closer to you than me.
Hey I'm enjoying this lol just proves the point though there are no difficult questions just those you know and those you don't

I saw the picture and immediately thought Dragonfly without even really looking at it, posted it and looked at the tail and thought na it is too rounded, from that angle the wing tip tanks being so prominent sent me in the wrong direction! I then thought Banshee, knew it was wrong, had to leave it alone for a while until it came to mind.

Another for you:

Not that tricky Gemma its a blackburn firebrand F1 thats the one with a V12 I think as oposed to the firebrand 111 and TF1V  which had a radial engines by the looks of things

quick edit nearly got that wrong the canopy suggests it was a type 11 not f1 and its the canopy that suggested the spitefull to me

Thats a cracker Gemma may take a bit but then may not the oxford, as indeed it is, is a type J-1 so prob an early one when our club chairman spotted the model in the flight line at woodsprings he thought it was a dakota and I can see the similarities also its slightly akin to early Blenheim's
