Andy Freeman
After the 'thing thread ran and ran not to mention the fact that the country is bankrupt and so imports cost 1/3 more. I bought British!!! Enter the SAS Fusion. It arrived today, nicley packaged and simpy the nicest smooth EPP foam cores. really impressed with the level of prefabrication on the fuselage, cant see that coming from anywhere else. Beggers belief really.... Will post some pics when I make a start....
Shaun Brogdon
I've been wondering how long it would take for this to happen. I've had mine for 12 months now, and have loved every minute of it. I flew it yesterday until sunset, which proved difficult considering the colour scheme.... Its been recovered once, and now has an orange wingtip, but is standing up to its weekly abuse quite well. And heres the one Andy Ellison kindly snapped and featured in RCM&E.
Shaun Brogdon
Couldnt have been more embarassed really, given the company....
Matthew Lloyd
Good move Andy. I'm sure you'll love it. I'm interested to hear how it flies compared to the Thing - do you own a WT?
Andy Freeman
No afraid not. Just took Alans advise on it being faster and move agile than the WT....

Matthew Lloyd
That'll do for me! I take it you have the 60"? Edited By Matthew Lloyd on 26/03/2009 21:58:
Andy Freeman
No i went for the 48. Cant hide a 60 incher in the boot. Cant have anything on display at work otherwise some crackhead will relieve me of it for a fix. Sad but true.....
Shaun Brogdon
I have the 46, my dad has the 60, they're both excellent, & had a WT before that. In club combat sessions, the 60" has proved to be a hard one to bring down, but does not turn quite so quickly as the smaller Fusion and the Venoms. I bought mine because everyone else in the club has Venoms, and combat could get pretty interesting on those dull days. Trouble now is they're all determined to knock my 'fin' off, lol.Edited By Timbo - Moderator on 26/03/2009 22:33:
Alex Leigh
Writes 100 times I don't need more EPP gliders. Just for the sake of argument, I reckon a 60 fusion would go well with my WT.
Matthew Lloyd
Ay up we're all online tonight! You've only got one Al, remember? And it looks sooo lonely! Edited By Matthew Lloyd on 26/03/2009 22:11:
Shaun Brogdon
Buy one, it'll keep Alan happy. Whenever i speak to him on the phone, it seems to last for ages, Im sure he's sub contracted out by the phone company to empty my wallet in more ways than one. Was there not a rumour that he was thinking about retiring? If that's the case, maybe we'd all better buy some replacements now.
Alex Leigh
It's only £60, I've got a spare battery, couple of cheap servos... cheap RX, run and hide from potential spousal rolling pin action. Sounds like only partial madness, and now I know how to build them as well. Faster and more agile eh?
Matthew Lloyd
I say we buy him out and run a co-operative. He's the last of his breed now Stan has stopped. Buy British EPP! NOT made in China!
Shaun Brogdon
Stop, im already thinking about phoning him. Its a good thing Alan hasn't got online ordering, because I'm liking the look of that VenomLite too, thats £100 in just a few clicks.... Alex Leigh
Doing my bit to help the UK economy as well. I fancy an orange tape covering as well. I can almost think of it it as an art project for my daughter

Alex Leigh
Odd double post. On that note I'm off to bed to think of excuses not to get another EPP glider. Thanks all, you've made a happy man very old Edited By Alex Leigh on 26/03/2009 22:23:

Shaun Brogdon
It is REALLY difficult to see on some of our local coastal slopes, especially below the horizon, as a lot of the sand and shoreline is black from coal and the steelworks
