John Privett Posted November 13, 2010 Share Posted November 13, 2010 Phil, I guess it was Eric's post at 13:21:46 with the long string of letters that caused the text overlapping the ads problem.Can this sort of thing not be prevented by some simple server-side validation and/or automatic modification of offending posts? It's pretty poor that simple "mistakes" like that can render most forum posts on the same page partly unreadable. And yes, I am a software developer, so I do understand the issues. I only left it "broken" for the time it took to see the effect then edit the post - the time between 22:10:13 and 22:11:03 - ie 50 seconds. And in those 50 seconds you saw the effect...
