John Lewnes
Hi, Just purchased an SC 30 4 stroke and it will only run backwards. I have been using an electric starter (rotating the correct way) but it refuses to run correctly. It starts easily enough and runs and idles beautifuly, but the wrong way!. Anyone got a bright idea?. Thanks, John

John Lewnes
No, supposedly run for only a few times. It certainly looks almost new, plenty of compression etc. Thanks for the interest.
John Lewnes
thanks for your interest, no. its not new, allegedly run only a few times. It certainly looks as though it has had little use with plenty of compression etc.
Bob Cotsford
sounds as though the valve timing may be out. I've had a couple of engines off fleabay, supposedly 'as new', but when I examined them, the cylinder liners had been removed and replaced out of position, blocking the exhausts. No idea how you check the timing though, sorry!
