Tim Mackey
Just a few pictures to give a flavour of things at todays meeting. Although the weather didnt play ball for most of the PSS stuff attending, most of us got to fly something at least....thank goodness for Wildthings and zaggis and small electric stuff! Avg windspeed was arpund 7 -10 MPH so most "proper" PSS stuff stayed grounded. One noteable exception was Rez 's lovely foam Airbus A380 which after a few attempts bravely took its passengers for a sortie over the Irish sea...and looked very good too.Lovely sunny blue skies by 3 pm, with a superb turnout of models of all sorts and sizes. The usual suspects arrived from all the over the UK, including Andy Conway and his wife, from Edinburgh, and of course no PSSA event is complete without the dynamic duo Simon Cocker and Phil Cooke ( thanks for the go on your lovely Spitfire Simon ). Simon and friend ( sorry forgot his name ) had a pair of interesting and fun models - FSS though - not PSS - Feathered scale Soarers! A terrific looking buzzard and Sea Eagle. Gonna get me one of those ! Another PSSA stalwart and excellent modeller Matt Jones also arrived with a car full of lovely Jet stuff, but sadly none suited to the conditions. His new, Andy Conway design all black hawk with smaller scale wing looked superb. Anyway, heres a few shots, and doubtless Phil Cooke will be hosting some "proper" shots very soon. So we all pray tonight that the wind picks up and gives s some good PSS type stuff tomorrow! David Ashby - Moderator
Wow, quite a turnout, fingers crossed you get some wind tomorrow Tim.
Tim Mackey
Yes, a great turnout, especially considering that the Lleyn sloping fun-fly event clashes with this one, so a lot of the locals are away on that do instead...XC reckons tomorrow is gonna be around 10 -12MPH ( sea level of course ) so fingers crossed, could be seeing 20 on the Rock ...please Edited By Timbo - Moderator on 26/09/2009 20:59:

Fly_Boy_Rez
Sadly with the wind as low as it was several aircraft with props were rigged and flown... Two electric foxes, a Ripmax BF-109, a Ripmax Spitfire, a Golden Eagle and a Buzzard by Hu Flung Dung Industries, a Bobcat, a 3D flyer (type unknown), a Twinstar II that threw a prop whilst chasing down the Spitfire and BF-109 and a Thermic XL. Tim Mackey
Hu Flung Dung Industries...love that one RezRight, sticky buns are loaded, and coffee is flasked, so its off for day two - XC reckons 10MPH so still not great I am afraid, but we will have a fun day anyway - and if it doesnt pick up, we just bring on the brushless
