Problems accessing site last night

Anyone else having problems accessing the site, or specific pages last night (9/12/09)?

About 9:00pm I logged in okay and went to the heli forum.  I composed a reply to a thread, but when I went to post it I got an "unable to access this page ..." error message after a while.  I carried on browsing another web site in another browser window and, from time to time, went back to modelflying to try and submit my reply.

At about 9:45 I think it was, I was successful in submitting my reply, but when the screen refreshed I saw that my previous half-dozen attempts had also been successful, despite the browser's error messages.

I then tried to edit all but one of my replies, to delete them, but access became impossible again after I'd managed to edit a couple of them.

This morning I logged in, and find there's no "edit this post" option against my posts, so I can't edit the remaining duplicates.  The two I did edit last night have both disappeared.

Glad I'm not the only one ... I hope they sort it out soon

The site in general seems to be working a bit better this morning.  But I've still got no "edit post" option against my duplicated posts -- nor against my original post in this thread.

Most (maybe all) of my older posts still have an "edit post" option

Edit:  But there is an "edit post" option against this post now.

Ok, more info is now at hand following yesterdays problems at LINX........

The London Internet Exchange Ltd or LINX is a large London based switch system for internet service providers (ISP) etc, one being our web site hosting company, so this is just not effect us but other parts of the UK.

‘LINX are still reporting that they have ongoing problems and do not know
when these will be resolved. For this reason we have started disabling all
peering via LINX and traffic will be rerouted via other connections.

This should resolve any outstanding problems with traffic flow via LINX, but
this process will take some time to complete. We cannot just switch off a
connection like LINX without ensuring that the traffic is properly handled,
or there will be negative effects for all clients. Once this process is
complete, we will provide further updates.’

Just so you know, looks like some problems may remain although I have to say that everything seems fine today.
