Tim Mackey
OK.... have just created this new section and we will see how it goes, I have moved some existing threads over here, but in future, this is the place for all things indoorThis is a sample of the crazy stuff I get up to on a Tuesday night Check out the Vapor "Tri-motor" about 4 minutes in..... I knew it would all end in tears Thanks to new Llysfaen indoor member Sam for the video and the U tube hosting. birdy
Was the trimotor controlled by three people?
Tim Mackey
Yes Birdy...myself, Dave Sargent, and Alan Patrick. We stuck the wing tips together with sellotape, and used rudder and differential thrust - not always very wellEdited By Timbo - Administrator on 10/12/2009 21:31:
Simon Chaddock
TimboGreat video but shouldn't this topic really be under the "electric flying" heading?
David Ashby - Moderator
LOL, I think the Vapor is the biz, love mine.

Errr we dont have such a section Mark - and as it was an indoor session, it seemed to make sense to have it in the newly created indoor flying section
Bruce Richards
I think what Mark meant was the Topic should be in the Electric Flight section.Edited By Bruce Richards - Moderator on 11/12/2009 08:22:
Tim Mackey
Ah I see....But then we would be stuck when everyone starts flying those microturbine jobbies around the village hall
Simon Chaddock
TimboSorry you are quite right and I was forgetting free flight microfilm! This must be about the most bizarre form of model flying!
Andy Freeman
Is that slowed down??????? If not then that is bizarre....
Tim Mackey
Love it ! ( Not slowed down I feel )
Simon Chaddock
AndyDefinitely not slowed down.Notice the asymmetric wing to counter the prop torque. With 2000+ turns on the elastic I believe flights of 45 mins have been achieved. birdy
That.... weird... Perhaps I can keep my trainer up that long if I replaced the motor with a big elastic band....
flytilbroke
One of our flyers had a few of them in the big hanger at Machrihanish last May. Even Thermal lift from body heat affected them. I got a row for carrying one too fast. I could not walk any slower Plus I was VERY gentle with it and watching to see if I was causing the film to wrinkle. Very fragile little things, amazing. Jonathan Lewzey
defintely not slowed down. these are ultralight ff models. a member, of our club, bob bailey, builds particularly fine ones and has been (probably still is) a member of the GB indoor ff duration team. I believe he has placed highly in europe before. An ultralight that weighs 1.5g is considered heavyweight!

Alex Irvine
Hi, I use the TX that came with an Ember for my MCX, It binds OK, just have to remember what the trim positionsare for each model. Alex
