  1. Robert Well done, Glad to see you're a plan builder!
  2. Thanks for the comments chaps.. Andy - I didn't think there was anything about EDf in this issue? I think you secretly like the old Art-Tech Mustang.. Graham took the photo. David Smith - you threaten to cancel your sub' every issue David... ;-) Les - Thanks, I stopped where my knowledge base ran thin though. Dave Stewart - It's a tricky one because we don't want to take up space saying that a kit we liked the first time is still just as good. I'd rather we thoroughly test a model first time around. The Bushwacker series is to help potential first-time builders, there are still a steady stream of folks who ask us for advice in this area. Electric flight does seem to be where the new products and developments appear at the moment, we have to reflect that.
  3. Len Some of the areas you mention are covered in Gerard Feeneys low-wing build tutorial -it's an exclusive web-only article in three parts that I've posted on the home page. David RCM&E
  4. Dave We always make sure the models we review are tested thoroughly and reported honestly and fairly. I guess a follow-on report could be useful but only if there's anything tangible to comment on - to say that a model is just as good or as bad as first noted wouldn't add anything? We're not short of material, quite the opposite in fact but many readers have told us they like a build tutorial series -we try to cater for all skill levels. David RCM&E
  5. Thanks Les The Graupner balancer wasn't available (even Graupner didn't have any) at the time. The wiring side would be a good topic for a future article, I'll need to do a little research first though ! David
  6. The Woodspring show for this coming weekend (7/8 July)has been cancelled, the field is underwater due to the recent poor weather. See our news page item and the Woodspring website for more details.
  7. Andy - You just love that Art-Tech Mustang really......I can tell.. EDF? what EDF, I didn't think we had any in this issue? Graham took the parting shot btw. David....every other post you threaten to cancel your subscription....... ;-) David RCM&E
  8. It was a free plan in RCM&E Gareth, Sept 1997 issue. A hugely popular Malcolm Corbin design. The plan is £5.95 on the plans service. You can get a copy of the article by calling customer services on 01689 899200 opt 3. David.
  9. ...and the August issue is out soon, could be with subscribers any day now. I'll start a new feedback thread and you folks can continue discussing the English language here.... ;-) ...please
  10. Good grief Chris ...3000 words on a kit review...I'm not suprised ;-) David RCM&E
  11. Yes sorry Geofb, we wont be adding the fig's but have amended the text. David. RCM&E
  12. Nice to hear from you Dave... me too! Have you got a jet yet? David RCM&E
  13. Brian, 'management'! Call me David :-) But thanks for your thoughts, got to take you up on the word 'often' though Brian. Two-parts reviews are pretty rare, we did split up the Hangar 9 Cub review over two recent issues but like I say that's rare when you consider we publish 5-6 reviews per month. I think the Cub is the only two-parter we've done so far this year although I'm going from memory (at home) without ther last 6 issue on front of me. We split the Cub review as we really wanted to fly it thoroughly. Hear what you say about review page count. We always aim high on photography standards which means making space for good photos to reflect the model thoroughly. Some readers do tell us they like this, but we're always listening. As for your suggestion of a two-year sub' for an article? Well, do you have something you'd like to write about for us? If you do then get in touch and we should be able to reward you more handsomely than that for your efforts assuming you can take some decent photos to accompany your words. Most contributors start writing for the mag' by simply phoning for a chat, simple as that. We're always happy to talk. David Asst editor and web editor RCM&E
  14. Blimey Deadstick give us a chance, I did reply straight away old chap ...These things take time to look at, put together etc..I'm not saying we'll do one but your suggestion is in front of us at the moment. David Asst' editor and web editor. RCM&E
  15. I totally agree Andy. We've asked Andy Ellison to write about this in our late summer special issue and he's writtena superb article explaining just how these manouevers work. It should be out late sept'. David.
  16. Yes thanks David but the poll closed nearly two months ago......
  17. Hi Tony We're talking about general retailer products. Not the sort of items you'll put in a Top Gun contest model. Appreciate all the views here but at the mag' here we get asked quite often by fliers as to how they can get hold of such and such a pilot.... that we thought we'd bring them all together so people know what's out there in the shops. David.
  18. We've some good material planned pretty soon for the mag' Bodger. Keep your eyes peeled. David.
  19. In our Sept issue we're going to bring together all the little pilot figures we can find, to compare them and show what's available out there.......a treat for some of you ;-)
  20. June and July '07 that's correct Keith, didn't you email us that question? S.Barnes - you might want to start a new thread in the electric section on that one.
  21. Who did you buy them from Andrew.. a trader?
  22. I've had no probs from my FF9 Super Paul, it's easy to use too. I fly with NASA Steve and his JR 9x2 looks impressive too. Tricky one, might come down to receiver compatibility at the end of the day. David.
  23. That's right, I reviewed it yonks ago with the MDS .18 in the nose...I know...please don't say anything. It flew well enough although the styling was a bit silly - it could have looked better. Quite quiet as the foam seemed to absorb the motor noise. The motor didn't have reliability in it's remit so it was often silent flight. Havn't seen one for a long time, indeed since they were knocking them out for a tenner at the Nats...
  24. Thank you very interesting. Why not leave a review in our products section ? David.
