A bit of a thread resurrection. I’m trying to obtain a Kavalier plan with no success, my emails are rejected from the ModelPlans site. Anyone out there have a plan they would share please?

Quiet Power Supply Recommendations Please
Sheepish replied to Witterings's topic in Gadgets and Electronics
Hi Witterings If you are happy with a little soldering and a project then this could be the answer: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?1292514-How-to-convert-Server-Power-Supplies I have two 450w HP server power supplies I bought for £5 each online and they have been working for me for more than 2 years now. Very quiet and very well specified power supplies and it’s possible to find 1000w and more versions if that’s of interest. -
Another vote for Model Radio Workshop. I have used Mike Ridley several times in the past for radio repairs and he is always helpful and fair with his charges.

Another vote for Octopus here and also improving the insulation route too. Avoid British Gas like the plague if my multiple experiences are anything to go by. A further point to check from experience with let properties is that if the electric route is the solution before you upgrade check the supply infrastructure will support what you intend to do. I have had two flats now where I wanted to install electric heating but could not because they were fed on a loop system which meant that it was not possible to supply the necessary amp hours of electricity needed.

Modellbau UK is at Alton and they have stock of fittings and other stuff. There are also shops in Portsmouth but not really dedicated to RC flying. -
Thumbs, Pinch, Hybrid, Trays, Straps ?
Sheepish replied to Nigel Heather's topic in All Things Model Flying
Over about 35 years of flying RC I have tried neck straps, trays, tray TX’s, just holding the TX, pinch, thumbs, hybrid of the two and have now decided that for me the two best solutions are a harness like this one from Pilot RC https://pilot-rc.com/transmitter-neck-strap/ Which works especially well for me for hand launching of gliders and electric stuff with no under cart. Recently I also started to use a Radiomaster Zorro Tx which looks like an X Box controller and despite my initial reservations I find I really like its small size and light weight. I have been using it for large F5j type electric gliders with Edge TX and Mike Shellims excellent templates with great results for me. I think it’s good to try different things to see what works for you and not to assume that where you are is the only way to do something.
