You know when you feel like that really warm feeling when someone shows you something that is just sooo cooolllll. That feeling, I have it. The hot glue gun mould is bloody genius! David was that way for me too, I was using MPX plugs anyway but the mould hit the spot, with the availability of different coloured glue sticks it makes colour coded connections very easy and there is plenty to hold onto when pulling apart without any stress on the wiring, I think Nexus do/did the moulds, but look around I paid between £20-25 pounds for mine, got the 6 and 8 pin. Also a hot glue gun for each colour keeps it simple. I figure we invest a lot of money in these toys in either money, time or both, my case moulded Gliders when I decided to ‘invest’, a pet hate of mine is seeing 1.5K Model with a £2 installation and I have seen enough of those, I know if I sell something later on it will be reliable, by the same token I will pass on things that look thrown together unless I intend to refurb the whole instillation from the start which means the airframe is of particular interest to me. you pays your money and makes your choice. I do still have two models with D connectors and still giving Stirling service, one from a friend that he designed as his competition glider that I trust implicitly and the other a NaN Xplorer which has the wing connectors moulded in the wing for the supplied D connectors, I did make a mould for the fuselage side of the connection which worked very well so you don’t have to buy one if you feel up to making them. P.S. It sounds like I am against using D connectors, which I am not, they have served me well in the past, just with Gliders I wanted something a little smaller for my particular installs. Paul, you can always stick pins in it! 🤪😂 Always liked Voodoo, have seen it race a few times. The noise!😈 Now to see it it's no longer 19** that's nice I must admit I liked the final incarnation of Voodoo, can still be seen flying at Chino, it’s now home is Planes of Fame museum, they give it an airing on their air show days.

  5. This would be apt, perfectly describes Richard’s design and kitting process. 😂
  6. Posted by Brian Cooper on 19/01/2021 21:04:35: I saw the title to this thread and immediately thought it was going to be about comical alien creatures from another world, making mashed potato. I blame Cadbury's...... I think it is Brian 😳🤪🤭😂
  7. Posted by Peter Jenkins on 11/01/2021 23:35:45: I would recommend buying a die and "rearranging" the thread rather than using a second nut as the die will win and the nut might not! Just tighten the prop nut and use the prop to hold the shaft steady as you run the die up the shaft. All good suggestions here but I used Peter’s way to sort a very similar problem with a MVVS 1.44 twin and saved the threads and it has been good ever since.
  8. Posted by Mike T on 27/12/2020 16:34:13: steve1590 is the guy you are looking for. A friend got the RR fus. earlier this year and it was very nicely done. He's not listing fus'es at the moment, but in the listing linked, he does state that he can make to order and put you in touch with a wing man (which I think is Billkits) HTH It’s Phillip at Cloud models that does the wings although I am sure Billkits can as well, Phillip has them on file and can cut with servo in the centre or 2 servos, 1 in each half like I have with mine.
  9. I am selling 457mm x 42mic and 125mic (I use this for covering direct onto foam like combat wings) in 10m lengths at £5.99 and £6.99 respectively including postage, I do have some lols of 600mm + but have not got to those yet. If you search Modellers pack - lightweight Matt laminating film to seethe 42mic, wrongly described as 42gsm which I will have to change or pm me here.
  10. That’s cute looking Peter, great colour scheme👍🏻
  11. Rich Spent many an hour at Andrews field back in the day, was somewhat shocked to see all the industrial there a few years ago but it had to happen I guess. On the subject of Polish pilots Lanny Lanowski is not widely known, a Polish colleague who was very much into WW2 aviation and around the time the film 303 came out which he thought was pretty poor had not heard of him, I and many other visitors to the Fighter Meet shows at North Weald in the early 80’s were lucky enough to meet this guy who had an R/C model, built as static, of a P47 on top of his beige mini metro, he had various memorabilia on a table in front of him, initially you thought he was selling stuff off but no it was far better than that, he was telling of his flying exploits in Poland, UK and finally the US Airforce, this was my first of many encounters and most pleasurable audiences with Witold ‘Lanny’ Lanowski. His son Krys keeps a Facebook page to honour his Father and he does talks on the subject and what a subject! Lanny’s book ‘Out in Front’ is a must read for those that thrive on wartime pilot biographies like I do.   Witold ‘Lanny’ Lanowski Edited By Nigel Dell on 25/11/2020 10:39:02

  14. ADH Hi Geoff As per Cavemans link if you can't print out the plan from Outerzone ADH have it for sale. It was a free plan, I have had a look for it but can't find it at the moment other wise you could have had it.
  15. Ain’t that the truth Rich, I obviously joke about her hitting, the truly terrifying thing is the look and one word ‘r-I-g-h-t’ once that happens I am worried. 😳😂
  16. Thanks Paul, I am peeing with impunity then I remembered I am back home now! 🙄😳😂🤣🤪 Edited By Nigel Dell on 14/11/2020 21:24:48
