According to the director of Silverstone,he said on bbc f1 today that it just wouldnt be cost effective to tarmac 400 acres of land and the logistics of doing it would be huge.

I have to agree with Steve H,...I have 2 HP Pavilion DV6 Laptops in my house and they're definately a good buy.Never had any issues and after the amount of years buying HP products,i know i can rely on them with confidence to perform as they should for a long time.

Or simply go the whole way and build from a plan...that way you can choose what design you like. -

Personally, theres nothing to rubbish them about.I have made a couple of orders since they changed names and owners and no complaints .The first order was slower than normal, but ,that is acceptable seeing as what has happened and still happening.I think everyone should let them get comforable and settled.Im sure Rob is still overseeing the transition for a while. As regards the prices,im still happy to pay them as they are still cheap compared to others. Edited By Biggles' Elder Brother - Moderator on 15/05/2012 22:18:17 -

I never use my puffed packs for flying, the planes and heli's cost money....but....i dont throw them away either,i use them as setup packs or for finding a decent watt range in testing different motor and prop ranges and save the decent packs for flying. Edited By Fats Flyer on 07/05/2012 09:59:47

good on ya Gary...have a pint on yourself

That lipo's will be ok,plenty of power available there.Using the setup you have ,will give 5-6 mins of steady flying and will have a bit of power to spare,BUT,when possible, changing to a brushless setup will transform the planes abilities .Brushed setups are a bit like going back to the dinosaur's.
-
With the setup you state,it sounds like the standard setup for the balsacraft bristol blenheim,is yours the balsacraft one.? If it is,it will fly ok on your setup, but personally,i would go for a brushless setup for lighter flying and better performance. What size lipo and what is the "C" rating? Sainsburys now give vouchers out at the till if whatever you buy is dearer from them than tesco's etc.....and Nectar points as well.......i used to be a die hard tesco shopper untili found out their dirty tricks ...such as hike the price up for a week, then reduce it to the normal price and advertise it as a special offer. This i know is fact because a relative has told me who works there.Totally out of order.

ive just bought a £200 flying bin bag

Nice one simon,i havent seen it done that way .Yes it certanly makes sense . I have made a spitfire canopy using the vac form method(for tony nijhuis 48 inch spitfire),but i used car body filler for the smooth surface and super glued thin strips of ply for the canopy framework. It came out well apart from the milky look because of the plastic i was using .Obviously, you have used a different type of sheeting. Can i ask what it is and where i can buy some. Thanks Vince
-
Simon,it does look realistic, you must have alot of patience for that sort of thing.I have a home made vac forming machine already, just thought you might have a different method,i do love to learn different techniques. What type of plastic sheet do you use ?.As you have already mentioned, the plastic isnt totally clear,it has a slight milky look to it . vince

I'd be happy to see the Rapide as the next plan.

Fats Flyer replied to GrahamC's topic in Tony Nijhuis plan builders
i make a ply or liteply frame in one peice the shape of the wheel bay doors.Very sturdy that way, never had problems .
