  1. Didn't Chris Williams do an article in RCME a few months back on putting motors in scale gliders unobtrusively?
  2. Yes Rich, t/e is straight, I thought it had a slight taper but it must have been an optical illusion because of the l/e taper.
  3. Rich, the fuselage length to the base at the rear of the fin, (i.e. where the stern post would be), is 90cm, from tip of nose the max length of fuzz is 99cm. John and Matty, the S.Soarman looks to have an almost parallel chord wing and not tapered. Could be the photo as I just took this and the top half looks parallel and the bottom shows the taper!!! Weird
  4. JD and Matty, It certainly looks like the Fledgling from the fuselage and wing. There has been some work done where the tail feathers attach to the fuselage which has not been done that well so perhaps they were damaged and the bits were used from another model. Thanks everyone for your help.
  5. Rich, the fuselage seems to be lite ply, looks a darkish colour, maybe gaboon? Or perhaps just age coloured. John, although the photo makes the chord look constant it is actually tapered. Centre section chord is 9 5/8", tips are 7 3/4 and more tapered at the l/e than t/e making it look almost swept back.
  6. Hi Folks, I acquired this glider today rather cheaply, well it would have been rude not to. It is 62" span with a veneered foam wing 2 channel slope soarer. Does anyone have an idea of what it might be and the CoG position if possible? Needs a small amount of work on the tail feathers but basically sound. Thanks in anticipation. Bob
  7. Thank goodness, I haven't broken any laws then!
  8. I thought you didn't have to register an aircraft in France if it was under 800 gramms and could fly it anywhere as long as it complied with airspace restrictions and away from habitation etc.
  9. Now that I have put it in the cart with the membership fee it comes up as £4.50, it is just the membership card page that is showing £3.50.
  10. Another small query for Andy, yesterday I was going through a members details and noticed that the plastic membership card was still showing as £3.50.
  11. Wow, that is almost 3.85 pence a week!
  12. Which Crane Fly Bees, the standard or lite?
  13. Try Solent Tools, they carry some Lidl and Aldi spares and give very good service. I have used them in the past.
  14. Found it, it was in the electric coversion thread. Peter's reply was ' about 26 swg tinned copper wire, six strands through each pair of holes and soldered'
  15. Ooops, sorry I checked. It must be on one of the other build threads of his Fournier
  16. Bill, if you mean the wire that binds the leg on, I asked Peter the same a while back but it can only be a few pages ago.
  17. I have used them a few times and have had the same sort of service. Great to deal with.
  18. I have used most of those mentioned above but generally use adsb exchange. Seems the best all rounder.
  19. Hi Andy, I have one and not likely to build it, pm me your address and I will sort it out later or tomorrow as I am a bit busy at the mo.
  20. At last, our lovely lady postie knocked on the door with my copy. After a very quick glance, it looks very good. Thanks Peter. Cheers
  21. Glad I'm not the only one and I am only about 40 miles away from Peter!
  22. I see they still have it listed on their website, if all else fails give them a ring on 01603 419515. I've always found them very helpful.
