We may all have 0 out of 5 of course..... 🙂

I'd say...... don't over-analyse, don't over-think...... practice will get you to where you need to be......... you just need to trust your instructor, do what he/she/they say, and Robert will soon be your mother's live in lover.

I just want to see it painted :-)

Vintage Twinjet Refurbishment Project
GrumpyGnome replied to Edgeflyer's topic in Vintage Kits, Semi-Kits and Plan Projects
I suspect it's purely aesthetics at our scale... -
4 in round 3, reckon 5 in round 4

I have some of those too. In act, I've got all sorts and just grab one of the right size, for correct power type.............. like most (I suspect) people, I don't need 'best' performance.... As toto is just learning, I suspect his existing MA props will be fine.

Best not tell my Valiant that's happily been flying around on an MA proo for 300+ flights.... Or is it me not taking it too seriously. But I do fly for fun, and it performs well enough fpr my purposes.

My nervousness 1with a club being the Op ID would be one of responsibility - presumably it would be the club's officers in the event of any issues. 'Maintenance by committee' seems doomed to failure! Please keep thoughts and comments coming. I'll summarise th=e options for our club to decide, in a few days (I also have some info from of-forum that I will put in the mix at that time).

I was wondering how they do it in France.... hence trying to avoid the terms Op Id and Flyer ID... 🙂

Do you have similar requirements for a flyers 'license' number on each? Whose? Based on Andy's reply above, I suspect my Op ID will end up on a couple......

I suppose I could research this on the BMFA site, but hopefully fellow forumites will answer in plainer English! We have, or will soon have, 3 'club' aircraft: An electric trainer (Apprentice) An electric intermediate plane (AcroWot) A camera equipped multi-rotor above 250g These are to be used as follows: Apprentice will be used for 'taster' flights for potentially non-BMFA members, and for training BMFA members instructed by a select group of club members. Acrowot will be 'loaned' to club members - all BMFA members. The multi-rotor will be used for 'taster' flights, and locating aircraft that are lost in the crop fields that surround us. Does your club offer/operate anything similar? How do you deal with Operator ID for items 1. and 3. above? TIA, GG.

3/5 and 4/5 (I think!) for me....

Not so good here. Wind gradually increased, and I arrived at the field to find it just about flyable. Andy flew his little Viper, Kingfisher, and Blaze successfully. Kev's new Texan deadsticked on maiden, damaging a wing, leaving him with his WottyXL. My Ruckus also deadsticked, damaging an aileron servo. Then the little petrol engine in myWot4 refused to play. Had a chat, left in light rain.

I was pleasantly surprised as well! Congrats to those that did well...... Commiserations to those that didn't

4S should surely be enough for a trainer..... I had a foamy F4U about the same weight on 4S that performed extremely well. Given the motor you have, seems your best option is your 6S packs....... although they'll make your plane heavier and faster. In future, I'd suggest taking advice on motors from the forum, rather than a retailer (advice may well be to talk to George at 4-max...).

Your plane, you choice 🙂

You do get 2 servos that may, or may not, work........
