  1. My planes are mostly from 1.0 to 1.5 meters and I use the less expensive, but metal geared ones. I bought a servo tester for $4.00 from BG and cycle them for about a half hour first. I read that if they are going to fail it will probably be within the first 20 t0 30 minutes. So far I haven't had any failures. Edited By Steven Shaw on 16/08/2018 14:25:13
  2. You should try your Y lead to realy see what happens. I use a Dx6 and all my planes have the ailerons on Y leads and work properly.
  3. Good to see that you are able to squeeze a bit of time in on the build...looking good Chris.
  4. Hot over here also, we set a new record last month for the number of days in the 30's
  5. This cutting fixture works good on material up to 1/8 [3.5mm]. For thicker material I use my mitre saw and mitre box.like Ron Gray
  6. I have figured out that I can only be logged into this site on one computer at a time. When I log onto my laptop I am no longer logged in on my desktop and have re login when I next use it. Same when I go back to the desktop.
  7. I'm following also, my nephew has been printing some parts for me on his printer, the quality is quite good.
  8. On the red bar at the top of this page there is a "Magazines" link. Pick on it, then pick on "RCM&E"
  9. This one has caught my fancy already, I hope there will be some build photos added to the thread or at least in Tony's album. I am wonering how the aileron linkage will be routed. I've already picked my paint scheme.

  11. The couier services here in Canada will resize and print pdf's. I had my Grumpy Tiger Cub plans enlarged and printed at the UPS store. I've also used Staples in the past.

  24. Hi Tim - I've gotten so much help and information from your build as well as Rob's and Levanter's. Thanks for confirming your C of G for me, and I have posted more build pictures in my album. I started my build with the fuselage and it looks like I won't be working on the wing and nacels until next winter. I hope to finish the fuselage during the many windy summer days. There's been a lot of them the past three years.
