It should work, I was looking at the Samsung A 15 5G yesterday, and it will accept any micro sim card.

Can a mode 2 aircraft be flown with a mode 1 transmitter?
Paul De Tourtoulon replied to Peter Brownlow's topic in Beginners
You are in the wrong club, 😨any club should accept both mode 1 and 2 pupils. -
Weight is a problem for consumption, drag and tyre wear, my old Diesel Peugeot 306 used a pair of front tyres in around 20.000k, my Peugeot 407 (1700kilos) around, 35000k but my 308sw at less than 1400kilos is now ready for new tyres at 65000 kilometres. so what mileage are you getting with your Ev's ?.

Yes, the bixlers can dive into the ground if it isn't launched properly with too much power due to the configuration of the motor, no difference in the air though.

I tried out the Fiat 500 'red', great fun to drive (also an E pedal mode ) but less than 200 kilometres range, no way that my wife could go there and back to her medical appointments on a full charge as the round trip is 200 kilometres, and the standard version "red" at 31.500 and the petrol version at less than 17.000€ The other problem is the new super parking tax that should start in Paris, and as usual the other cites will follow, Ic and hybride over 1.600kilos 18€ an hour, progressive up to 225€ for 6 hours also applying to EV's over 2.000 kilos.
-
Estimate £12-£14, a joke, maybe £100 ?.
-
I don't think that it is important what you drive, Ev or Ic neither will save the planet as it's the overpopulated earth that's the problem, a question of choice and what town you can drive into, considering that over here the towns that ban IC normally have a good public service. At least the subject hasn't overflowed on to the model field electric or methanol and petrol "yet".🤫
-
Sorry, I thought you were driving an EV from john O'Groates in the north of Scotland, or Lands End in the South,

Nice work Jon, a thread on it soon ?.

So running a diesel would take how long against an electric ?.
-
So did I, when we take the mickey out of him buying a Peugeot diesel to come to the model field, he throws a fit and goes off home for a couple of days, he will be picking up his new Citroën ID 3 in a couple of weeks.

Non, sad member only flys ( and crashes) electrics, especially helicopters on 6s, the magic smoke helps to find some of the burning bits, burns the weeds and keeps us happy and warm in winter.😂
-
Are you sure ?, one of our club members 'had' ( just got rid of it) an Ionic 5 with its 500 klm range, last month on a freezing day he only got 200 klm out of it, panicking looking for a fast charger, he decided to get rid of it.

Fouga magister 1/4.5 moulded from scratch
Paul De Tourtoulon replied to dirk tinck's topic in Electric Ducted Fan
I have a 2.10m Stuka canopy mould and that was a real headache, maybe do it in 2 parts. -
You can always move to the countryside and die from the agriculture poisons,,,

The Same thing, just another bureaucratic name, are you fishing for a job in the French government ?.😄
-
Interesting Martin, so looking at your EV experience it looks like the EV and pollution laws are keeping the people off of the roads especially long trips, all for the rich,,,

Yes a bit big for a 'first', good luck,, -
Welcome to the forum Dave, for a beginner one of these Epp electric planes / gliders is the way to go, better still are the Multiplex ones with the motor in the nose, or a fun cub, there are plenty on the market.

Proper modeling plaster of Paris also works, the best that I found was the pink stuff used by dentists but only if you have the proper canopy plastic -

The plastic that I use you leave the protective coat on the mould side, and it comes out nice and clean even on a mat surface. Nice work Dirk.
