This is mine. It’s 500mm long and 130mm wide. One end is glow, the other to run petrol. I’ve fitted tachometer, cheap Rx , and switches. The throttle servo has 2 pairs of blind nuts under the frame and two sets of drilled holes in the servo bracket, giving some variation in throttle arm positions. The tanks sit in a hole and simply zip tied . There are holes for 2 x 8mm carriage bolts Copy if you like. Only cost me the glow engine mount.

We’ve had the BMFA SIM trailer all weekend. Proved a big hit with the fair visitors and some club pilots that didn’t know it existed

3 Clubs are getting together to put on a static and small flying display at a local steam fair. The fair is one of the biggest steam events in the South West. All sections and stands are now fully booked, so it’s going to be a superb day out for all the family. Money raised will be going to 3 local charities.

We used to take magnesium strips from the labs. Then push the strips into the cigarettes of the boys that smoked. Loved to watch the terror as they narrowly missed 3rd degree burns on their faces

All this reminiscing reminds me of a famous Monty Python sketch. I remember licking the road wit’ tongue 😝

I’m doing a public show next weekend. There’s 2 RC static tents and small flying display . It’s going to be a fantastic weekend of Steam and Sound ! Its a superb weekend and will be our biggest show to date. We’ve had to close section applications as all were fully booked. At least 30 Tractions, 100s of cars, bikes, military vehicles and tractors. DO come along and have a great time.

Is 35mhz is legal for large public shows?? Even though in , BMFA Handbook under section A, STRONGLY recommend not using it

To be honest, I used M3 threaded rod with clevises. These clip onto simple brackets top and bottom. They never come out and the wing remains intact. Also they’re easy to adjust. They are shrouded in K&S streamline tubing.

Her Ladyship is now settled down in her chair and in front of the telly for the day......buffet/ self service until teatime
