i agree, never had a problem and good delivery times. -
hi David, when i used to rewind full size 3 phase motors we used to get the old windings out by using an old wood chisel, or a hacking knife. we just used a mallet to cut a line down the front of the winding then peel it back and out. the first one was the hardest then the rest were easy. mike

happy to come down if weather is good, nice to do some flying on a proper field. -
hi SW, i had the same problem with my banggood flying flea. I solved it by taking the throttle trim right down as far as it would go. it fired up ok. be warned the throttle control is very limited, sort of on or off.

I had the same problem as Christopher, the nut disappeared when I removed the table to fit the sanding disc. as I have been an electrician for 45 years and have mended hundreds of tools I stripped it down, replaced the nut held it in with the bolt and glued it. the case is held by 4 Philip screws ( I feared they might of been security screws, as Bosch always fit one). saved taking it back. mike

selenium plate rectifiers were fitted in the 1950 s to 70 s. most motorcycles used them and as martian says once smelled never forgotten. they were very easy to diagnose as soon as you opened the control panel you knew it was blown. mike

I am very happy with just on and off for this setup. I just want to try and set up the gyro for another model that I would not like flying as a test bed. to get into the ball park so to speak. mike

thank you very much Frank, taking 100% EPA down to zero made it switch between stabilization on and off. brilliant thinking on your part. cheers mike

sorry Martin the 6ex 2.4 only has 2 position switches, no sliders or rotary control. its a basic 6 channel with 2 switches channel 5 and 6 for gear and flaps. mike

thanks Frank, I will give that a try. I'm not bothered about 3D mode I just want stabilisation on or off. mike

hi all. can anybody help. I am trying to fit a Hobbyeagle A3-L gyro to a model.it has three flight modes: 1 stabilization on, 2 stabilization off, 3 3D stabilization on. this needs a 3 position switch. my tx . a futaba 6ex 2.4 has only 2 position switches. if I connect the mode switch to channel 5 (gear) it will only switch between 1 stabilize and 3 3D stabilize. it will not switch stabilization off. what is the difference between a 2 position switch and a 3 position switch, in regard to the signal to the rx, I would have thought a switch as either on or off or + off -.is there any way I can mix two switches channel 5 and 6 to simulate a 3 position switch or is there a way of getting stabilize on and off. also the gyro offers 3 servo frame rates 50, 125, 250 hz which one is best. mike

Compare OS 30 4Stroke with electric motor
michael cawood replied to Bernard Chiswell's topic in Electric Flight for Beginners
Bernard are you sure that is the number on the motor. its more likely PO-2830 1210Kv which is about 200 - 220 watts so I don't think it would be an improvement on your OS30 mike -
usually my Banggood posts come from the Seychelles but the last one came from Bangkok, and they do seem to come a lot faster. last one was less than two weeks. mike Edited By michael cawood on 22/07/2017 16:47:48

the air museum in Newark on Trent is well worth a visit and not to far from the Peak District, also if you have the time the Yorkshire air museum at Elvington near York is worth seeing. mike
