Als hobbies, shipping overseas??
Augusto replied to Peter Hogstrom's topic in R/C Retailers / Distributors / Manufacturers
Hi Peter Yes they do. In their site go to Shop Online or see Here Cheers, Augusto -
Thank you Richard. I think, but nor sure, they are a Turnigy brand (MKS); I´ve read a few costumers posts in Hobby King about same issues you talk about in your post, and others saying the best! (?) Was to fit in ailerons too so I'm thinking to go with Hitec. Tanks once more and cheers, Augusto

Hi Fellows, Does anybody used, have used or is using this brand servos from Ripmax? What about their quality? Do they fit with Rx 617FS Futaba or do I need to change the connectors? Thank you for your advice. Cheers, Augusto

Posted by r6dan on 10/01/2011 18:14:36: Do any of you lot get Emails from people claiming to be your bank wanting you to "re register" your details with them? I do quite often,I just send back the most disgusting offensive reply I can think of,it amuses me greatly to think about the expression on their faces when they read my reply @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css); @import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css); Dan, It's phishing! Those emails must be "Deleted" immediately without opening them or reply to them. They carry an hidden ".exe" file that will be alocated in the root of your computer downloading all your "Data" to them and sending the ".exe" file in all the emails you post to other people. As Myron uses to say "don't ask me how I know" ! Cheers, Augusto

Finding the right leading edge - retail grumble
Augusto replied to Simon B's topic in All Things Model Flying
Hi Simon, You' ld be amazed about how many between us are modellers in a budget man Peter and BEB are very right. 50 years ago we had no money for nothing, We needed to invent our own toys and their accessories, enven the fuel for those diesel engines was made in the back-yard - the paraffin was from candle scraps and the ether was stoled from mum's home pharmacy. Etc...etc... etc! Even today I still use to make a lot of accessories; for instance for the Luton Minor I'm building I made all the bellcranks using scraps of ply: and for the push-rods: BBQ sicks, rests of 14 swg piano wire, tissue scraps from an old shirt and cyano. You can be sure she'll fly (and may be crashed too!) but was made by me! Nowadays there are other fields where it's good to waste more many like Electonics (Radio gear and servos) to intent avoiding the lost of the models. So Simon take the job in your hands and in the end, as BEB said, you'll be amazed with your skills and proud with the resulte. Augusto -
And this one could be said to our european leaders

Nature ... well, flying with the nature and good afro-american music

Agreed with you BEB, my vinyl from 1984 edition is almost wasted but that Overture iit's a must, isn't it? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJcjHlRhHycEdited By Augusto on 05/01/2011 22:54:01

Yes Peter, after Boddo it's been terrific but unfortunately we can't stop it! David: I remember the Tomboy in wheels and in floats too, but my first FF was the "Debutante" with a .75 Mills in its front. I was a schoolboy at that time. From Vic I do remember too the Popsie, the Ethereal Lady, the Flipper, the Courtesan, the Majorette, the Queen of Hearts, the Mini MadCap, the Pulstar, the Mam'selle and many many others. As you said BEB these men were inspirations for us in general and for my generation in particular. You still may see their marks in our builds, even in the most recent days. A peacefful rest for all of them Augusto

Autumn special spitfire plans wanted
Augusto replied to Steven Butler's topic in RCM&E Plan Builders
Hi Steven, I don't know mates without crashes; indeed models go but passion remains forever - that's the Hobby! And as said by another mate "It's only balsa!" So build your Spit and go ahead fellow (but don't fly it alone). Augusto -
Eric Fearnley's plan Luton Minor adaptated to a LA.4 variant R/C
Augusto replied to Augusto's topic in RCM&E Plan Builders
To cover the wings I must insert yhe bellcranks and pushrods for the ailerons. As I didn't find those bits in the trade with the reqired dimensions - bellcranks must be placed between the nose ribs and the first spars, I decided to make them using 1,5 mm ply. So AutoCaded the bits and printed them in self-adhesive paper: And cutted them: I get the bellcranks ready to be placed: and the needed servo-harm: That's all for now fellows, Cheers, Augusto -

Hi Fellow, It's been too hard being at the workshop (garage!) with this cold so this building relented a bit and to become worse I bought a watter based dope to avoid the inspiration of the cellulosic solvents (at my age ... the result was nasty and rubbish - one day to dry and no shrinkage! So, returned to the cellulosic (with mask) and I was finaly happy - glossy saturated and setretched: I can go on now!
