Posted by Big Phil on 26/03/2011 18:39:28: Is it only me, or does any one else get their old trainer out for a gentle plod about? I see the newer guys with the Arising Stars and such and just want to get mine out to blow the cob webs off it. Is this normal or do I need to change my medication. B.P @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css); @import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css); I love my Wot Trainer. I haven't found much that it can't do. I fly Petrol power now. But, my Wot Trainer hmm - brilliant, its a good hack

Posted by James40 on 25/03/2011 06:34:51: BB, which tape did you use? Some of the self amalgamating tapes available only have a 90'C temperature rating! I'm trying to locate the brand we use at work, we call it greenline tape, it's a self vulcanising tape but with a very high temp rating (used in jet engines) so will be well up for the job. I'm out of the country at the moment but give me a few days and I'll get you a make (or a roll). @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css); @import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css); James, after reading the article, I found the Rescue Tape website Here : And using their distributor list found this site Force4 Chandlery. It is rated -54c to +260c (deg). In 3.04m x 2.54mm (10ft x 1") rolls. Price correction £5.95p per/roll. Any help appreciated BB

I found the article on silencing the silencer very interesting. I aquired some 'Rescue Tape' £5.90p per roll, and used it on the 'box' muffler on my Zenoah 23 (Petrol). Fitted as per the instructions. It lasted 4 minutes. The silencer was too hot for it. It split and 'pinged' off like a rubber band. Much to the surprise & amusment of fellow flyers standing nearby. So, my question is; Where can I get some suitable 'Silastic' silicone compound from ? As I would like to try the other method featured in the article. Any ideas/help appreciated. BB

No real difference from normal pva, except it dries/hardens a little quicker: And cost more. -

Posted by Steve W-O on 22/03/2011 16:28:12: If you go to Companies House website, enter Nitro RC (or the company number I think) into the search, click on the company number in the first column, then you can order the Current Appointments report for £1 which will give the directors names Ah, thats why I couldn't find it. Nitrogen RC website

Here is some info, no's etc Press release info & Here Doesn't appear to be registered at Companies House either. Also, there is very little info available on numerous web tracking systems. Never heard of them. BBEdited By Basildon Biggles on 22/03/2011 14:51:37 -
It'll be fine. Lesson learned.

Sounds like low end is too lean & top end is rich. Open the low end 1-2mm. Then run. Then again if necessary. Top end is normally on the rich side for a new engine so don't worry about that too much.

You can live without the spring. Use some lock tight. Not too much mind. Make sure the barrell turns through its full range.

The low end needle adjustment screw is located in the recess where the throttle arm is Dan. Have a looksee. Ken is quite correct

I've a 7c. You have to first asign the switch. The default for the flaps setting is the dial. Go back to your f7c manual. It tells you how to do it correctly. I made the same mistake. It's a question of reading the manual fully. Sorry, but, it is.

How to remove canopy glue and masking tape adhesive?
BB replied to Erfolg's topic in Building from Traditional Kits and Plans
Sometimes I use a quik spray of 'Pledge' or similar. Leave for a few minutes and wipe off with lint free cloth. Polish sprays contain suphfactants and silicones. Soften and lift , but doesn't damage surfaces. Test a small area first. -
