David Gilder
Spent some of my birthday today working on decals. On the tail there is the team logo with the Russian flag to one side. I could not find a usable image online so have had to make it up myself online. The Russian flag part will be added afterwards but the logo has been done now along with the registration on the fuselage sides! Thats today's work! Dave. Phil Cooke
Firstly - Happy Birthday!! Second - nice logo - what you printing these onto?? Is it a clear self adhesive?? Do they come out weather proof or do you have to seal them with some clear laquer?? Your Russ logo looks great - nice job!!
David Gilder
Thanks Phil. The decals are printed onto sticky back clear plastic sheets that are inkjet friendly. They are then sprayed with a clear spray glue to seal them. The logo took me about 1 1/2 hours to get right as each letter had to be individually turned to the right angle, then I had to black out an outline of the L39 before shrinking it. Worth the effort though! Dave

Andy Meade
Hi David, How did the L59 build go? I hope she is flying by now I'm just about finished on the build of mine - I am ready to cover now...but need a canopy! Did you manage to source one, or form your own over a plug? I've never done any forming like that, and want to get this build done and ready for the slopes. all the best, Andy
