John Privett
Do you not have a manual for the radio? The answer will be in there.
Pete B
I have an Optic 6, Trevor. A full charge shows about 11.5 -11.7 volts and the manual states that the low battery warning displays at 9.3 volts. Personally, I don't let mine get below 9.7 volts before I recharge it - they have a tendency to drop off quickly below 10 volts. Andy Gates
I stop flying at 9.6v with my Optic 6, my Laser 6 and my Futaba 8UAF. The Futaba starts bleeping at this level too.
John Privett
I'd have gone home long before it gets that low, but Futaba's low voltage warning (at least on the 8UAF and 7C) sounds at 8.5v.

Martin Harris - Moderator
One thing to bear in mind is that most transmitters were supplied with NiCds and if you've upgraded* to NiMHs the voltage drop off against time is much faster at the end of the discharge curve giving a lot smaller margin after the alarm sounds. * Not something that I regard as an upgrade in overall terms - possibly with the exception of Eneloops. A 1200mA/H NiCd is enough for a good day's flying for me but I feel the environmentalists have got their way to the detriment of our hobby.Edited By Martin Harris on 11/04/2010 18:17:
