David Davis
I saw an Eflite Apprentice yesterday which had been stored in a shed surrounded by fields. The field mice had got in and eaten the foam wheels as well as some of the leading edge of the wing. If I hadn't have seen it myself I wouldn't have believed it! David Gilder
Well foam is a good insulator for nesting!! lol Silly for leaving it in a shed where mice could get in!!! Lessons will be learnt!!!
001
Apply a decal of a cat to the model, that should keep them away!

I don't think I've ever seen a shed, or a garage, that mice couldn't get into. Edited By Tony Smith 7 on 18/01/2011 09:41:
Josip Vrandecic -Mes
Hi David , while I worked at a coast guard, ship's main electric power cable, started to eat the mice.....I saw it and was surprised naively thinking that plastic isolation is not tasty ....Later ,a man from "mice exterminator unit" explained, that mice hone front teeth because is an extremely rapid growth

Tony Smith 7
We had some unexpected mouse damage in the Autumn. Typically when the cold weather starts, they move into buildings for shelter rather than looking for food. In this case they came in via the boiler room and from there via the various voids into our box room upstairs. The damage included wiring inside the boiler and between the shower pump and the shower, and they also destroyed my motorcycle helmet and some other less valuable items in the box room. Anyone know of mouse deterrents that actually work?

001
What's wrong with a good old fashioned moustrap? Not a deterrent, true, but if you suspect that you have the little ....... rodents, you will soon know. Bacon rind is one of the best baits, warm it up with a flame slightly before you set the trap. Guaranteed results within a very short time..

Allan Bennett
Never had mice problems yet, but a few years back the covering started to disintegrate on some models I kept in the shed, due to exposure to sunlight. I covered the windows with the kind of black plastic used to darken car windows, and no problem since then.
