winchweight
Either Model Lite balsa filler, or the super light weight, super fine Poly Filler and sometimes balsa dust and white glue.Edited By Shaun Chant on 09/02/2011 16:51:

Craig Spence
Red devil once is the best stuff I've come across, just make sure you let it dry overnight, you can do it quicker but I find it breaks if it's still moist. It's good stuff, very light and you can do low lying areas as well if you let it dry like I say.Hope this helps. Bert
Tony For joins and cracks I use builder's PVA (from B&Q) with microballoons mixed up to a stiff paste. It weighs little, sticks well (obviously), costs hardly anything and sands beautifully. If it is a biggish area on balsa, I sand a flat on it and glue some more balsa on (PVA) and sand it down to match. Bert

Engine Doctor
Hello Tony . I recently started using Ronseal Wood fill . Its brilliant , sets quickly ,sands very easily and doesn't crack or drop out like some water based fillers . It might be a bit heavy for very light jobs models but provided its used sensibly it great. E.D
