Help, Brc Hobbies query?

Recommended Posts

Yes, I AM touchy when somebody comes on here with a heavy handed approach like yours, you could have easily suggested that the ordering system could be improved, and I would be quite happy to aggree with you, constructive criticism is not a problem.

However, your point with regard to e-mail is quite wrong, they are open all week, there is not much point opening them all weekend when nobody is there to answer them?! Like a lot of businesses that use this system, it saves one of us [usually me] wading through 300 e-mails trying to sift out the ones selling viagra, dating sites, dodgy banks in outer god knows where, etc, from the genuine enquiries [yes, we have spam guard, but they are not 100% effective as we all know].

So, yes, I do get touchy because I know, and most of our customers seem to appreciate just how hard we work, and what excellent SERVICE we give, which is what the company reputation was built upon, therefore, your crticism seem rather harsh to say the least in this respect, if you intend to come on here and throw it about, surely you expect me to answer criticism fairly? Iv'e agreed with you when valid, but if you are wrong in my opinion, I'll say so, our honesty [something many of our customers like about us] goes both ways! I don't really see what else you would expect from coming on a public forum to make a complaint which would have been better dealt with directly?

I also get touchy because despite how hard we work, I have not seen another company get singed out on here in this fashion, which gives a totally false  impression of the company, it's staff and the level of service/products offered [which is why it has grown so quickly over the last 2-3 years].

BRC staff are also modellers, and I can tell you of my last 2 experiences of buying from other model companies [both of which were in the last two months], and guess what? I had to wait 3 weeks on each occasion, and had no communication from either that there were going to be delays..........but I'm not going to openly criticise them on a public forum....that's the difference.

Finally, may I point out that if you had read this thread properly, you will find our -email address on page one.

Now I don't normally post or respond to threads like these as they can too easily get blown out of proportion by people flexing there cyber muscles and being far two quick to sling mud at a companies name.

Now don't get me wrong I’m all for constructive criticism but only when it's justified, The above company is not the only one by a long shot that does not send out conformation of receipt, but like Scott said you do get a transaction number from paypal and if your that concerned about your order then either send them an e-mail, or how about doing it the old fashion way and give them a quick call.

Now what I believe people are sometimes forgetting in this age of modern technology and I want in now attitude, is that just because you are purchasing a item from a company that does not mean that have to work 24/7 for you, they have a life as well and while a customer is important you are not the only customer and you have to join the queue in front of you.

Crikey how did people cope before the internet, Sunday Trading and Shops being open on Bank Holidays?

Scott is aware that the ordering system and web site could do with a tweak here or there but there are only so many working hours in a day and like he has stated on a previous post this will be looked into.

But please do not go around criticizing a good company on a public forum with out having given them a fair chance to respond to your queries.

Hi Alastair Place

I merely stated that communication is very difficult.

If I go to their website at this moment it states that they do not take e-mails at the weekend.

Well for me the weekend is over.

It also says do not send e-mails to the blue yonder address.

I cannot see any other address to use.

As stated by other customers trying to phone is a waste of time.
