Nev Haycox
I have just set up dual elevator servos on my Seagull Zlin 50 but when I turn on my DX8 and then the AR7000 receiver the servo in Aux2 (one of the elevator servos) give me full down elevator until the receiver has connected and then the servo centres, the other servo is unaffected. Why is this happening and is it ok. It doesn't happen on my dual aileron servos. Thanks in advance, Nev.
Paul Marsh
I have/had the same problem. Problem when you want to do complicated models, by using dual elevator/aileron and flaps, causes a bug to appear. Did the same to me, as well as mixing rudder when flap is selected. Weird. The DX8 is a good set, but not really that powerful - the DX18 should be much better.
Nev Haycox
Hi Paul, I guess this problem didn't affect the flying of your model.
David P Williams
II think I saw on another thread about Spektrum failsafes that if you re-bind the receiver after setup it stops this happening David
Nev Haycox
Thanks David, I'll give that a try tomorrow.
Paul Marsh
I got round it by using a "Y" lead on the flap and a reverser on one flap. No ideal, but couldn't get round it at all. On another model (same set-up/problem) I used the more powerful JR PCM9XII TX.
Ultymate
You need to rebind as Captain Slog has said.
Alan Cantwell
i had the problem of the retracts recyling when turning on, solved it by rebinding with the gear down, this on the JRDx9 though, but i would think the problem would be with any set Edited By Alan Cantwell on 17/08/2012 21:45:
Biggles' Elder Brother - Moderator
I've never had this problem - ah, but then I don't have a DX8 either BEB (feeling bored and being very naughty!)
moorer
Yes nev, rebind again after you have set everything up as already said, and you should be ok,or use a y lead
Nev Haycox
I rebinded today and that seems to have cured the problem. Thanks to all for your help. Nev.
Chris Bott - Moderator
Spectrum receivers remember the control positions that the Tx is in when the receiver is bound. It always uses these positions for the servos during the period that the receiver is connecting at switch on. (Except throttle). So whenever we change something in the Tx programming, particularly the neutral positions we need to bind again to save those. Hence Spektrums recommendation to rebind a model after all the setting up is done. It's actually a useful feature allowing us to make sure our servos stay wherever we want them to stay, during the Tx Rx connecting period. No great mystery really once we know.
