Allan Bowker
'Threaded push rod ends' or also known as a 'Threaded Coupler'. Slec call them 'Solder Extenders'. Edited By Allan Bowker on 02/10/2012 14:00:

Bob Cotsford
I suspect it's the type with an internal thread that was meant to be screwed onto the nylon snake - I haven't seen them in decades though. For smaller models people seem to use the solder type glued onto the snake.
Steve Hargreaves - Moderator
I think Bob is correct.....the internal section was threaded so they could "self tap" onto the solid nylon snake inner. Haven't seen any in years.....the Orange SLEC snakes are hollow & take a short length of M2 studding that allows the clevis to be screwed on.... The Stig
Thanks for your help guys, picked some up and I'm going to glue them onto some carbon rod. I'm guessing just 5 min epoxy would be ok to use?
Myron Beaumont
I would never use brass ! Cor Blimey ,it's brittle don't you know, I wouldn't glue my clevises on either -especially onto carbon rod .Bring back proper engineering .Then again you can't even get proper solder around these parts ! Ernie
Hi, Stig, Myron is right, don't glue exotic materials unless you know exactly what you're doing..especially on a component as critical as a push rod......ie no pushrod, no plane Hi Myron, how do you get on with no more nails? ernie
The Stig
Hmm, how would one go about attaching them onto the rod?
Andy Green
I have used 24 hour Araldite and JB Weld, both slow setting epoxies. No problems with gluing pushrods. Thats both CF and nylon. Just rough the ends up a bit. Try one, with the plastic ones you will stretch the pushrod before it pulls out. Andy
Andy Green
If you want further info, Pete Tindel suggests the same for his big linkage sets. Andy
