WolstonFlyer
Here is my completed effort, just 2 short evenings to build, probably about 5 hours in total. I had all of the electrics kicking about in my bits box so the total cost was only about £4 , this covers the 6mm square pine strip from B&Q for the leading edge, small amount of packing tape, hot glue stick and 1/4 of a sheet of foam board from hobbycraft to make the fuselage. I am not sure about the CofG even with a 2200mAh 3S stuck in the nose, it doesn't seem far off the position on the plan from kc but might be a little bit too far back. I have some stick on car wheel weights I can add if needed. Just need some nice weather to give it a go, the forcast for this week is not great with winds over 20mph all week but Sunday looks promising. Martian
So I have started but no pics yet,it has a pod fuselage a box tail combined ail /elev 2 rudders and no logical path as yet to control those surfaces all control surface are on the box tail oh and it,s a pusher roughly 30inch span wee brushless motor and prop can be no bigger than 6x3 or 6x4 ,,, shouldn't,t be a problem
Martian
I've decided to ditch the rudders now that I understand how elevons work . Is there anybody else building a foam fing or sort of foam fing ??
WolstonFlyer
Mine is finished but it is far too windy and wet to try and fly it at our field.
TinPot Pilot
Mine received with thanks. Sorry about delay in replying but haven't been available for a few weeks - first idea now doesn't seem feasible so having a rethink!

chris edwards 3
if im getting this right, you send me some foam, I build something with it and see what happens when its let lose in the air?
David Ashby - Moderator
Have a look at the article link please Chris (just above Martian's post above), that explains everything. They're a bit slow out of the door at the moment folks owing a lack of decent packaging protection while I haven't been in the office quite as much over the last few weeks.
