Halt the lies you hear aren't true ! By the way Ken the reason for clean underwear was because, in pre antibiotic days,if you were involved in an accident the chances of infection were less - when first world war ships were cleared for action standing orders were that the sailors change into clean underwear.

Sitting down whilst flying - what do you use?
TinPot Pilot replied to Stevo's topic in All Things Model Flying
I have similar problems and use a folding stool like this . I find that chair arms get in the way and if you ever make a mistake and get the plane behind you ( don't ask ) you can easily swivel around to keep an eye on it ,something impossible in a chair. I maybe should add that I fly from tarmac which provides a firm base which may not be available on grass. -
I liked a good Abernethy but our local shops don't seem to do them any more! Lets blame the EU like everyone else.

Available here on E Bay

You could also use a Y lead with a servo reverser for the elevators.

Don't forget about svensons and the correx designs at SPAD

There are plenty of pin ended scroll saw blades on e-bay. see here

My prize turned up today and its a Cap 20 wood kit, just what I wanted. !! But I suppose I'll have to be disciplined and go and bake my Christmas Cake before I open it - I'm running a little late this year ! Merry Christmas to you all, and to those who didn't win, keep trying, this is the only thing I got out of years of clicking.

Well, somebody with my name won on the 12th but, like most of you, I don't have a clue what it is ! Still, what a lovely surprise Thank you very, very much !!

Recommend me a 35"-40" 4ch. plan/kit
TinPot Pilot replied to BaronArron's topic in Building from Traditional Kits and Plans
Outerzone has a lot of free plans which can be extensively sorted. This is the r/c and free flight list of plans in the 35" to 40" range. Hopefully there will be one you just can't resist. If you see something you like, why not post again with your selection and see if anyone has built it or knows more about it? Edited By TinPot Pilot on 02/11/2015 23:08:27 -

TinPot Pilot replied to Erfolg's topic in Build Blogs and Kit Reviews
If you are happy to use a colour scheme from a captured aircraft, there are a number of aircraft repainted red by the Americans such as this one here . This seems well documented eg here -
