Dylan Reynolds LaserCraft Services
Thanks PV I'll pass it on. Well fitting that mesh was a job and half, the mesh was so springy I had to epoxy 2 corners, clamp and wait for it to dry, epoxy 2 more positions and repeat, then repeat a third time, but its all come good in the end... Lindsay Todd
Get a move on man, looks cool though, perhaps a Z62 version some time? Linds
Dylan Reynolds LaserCraft Services
A Z62 version? hmmmm....stop it, that's not fair! Today I have mainly been trying to figure out the working rigging, I think I have got my head around it, the wings rigging was fairly straight forward, just couldn't decide what to do with the tail end, but I think I have it in my head now. And me being lazy I have just ordered some rigging plates from DB Sport & Scale, just couldn't be bothered to make em myself.
Dylan Reynolds LaserCraft Services
Ok, so let's get the wing out... Make a few holes and insert and epoxy the rigging points...

Dylan Reynolds LaserCraft Services
96" Chris, got a fair bit of fiddly bits done I used Phosphorous Bronze PV, I thought if I have to put weight in may as well be something like this rather than lead, but I know what you're saying about that stuff, have used it myself in the past

Dylan Reynolds LaserCraft Services
Nothing heavy going on the nose of this one PV, it's leccy, and I don't want to put non-essential strain on the motor, the prop is a Xoar Wooden Vintage prop 15x6. Working on a servo box for the internals, one to mount all servos plus all the cranks for pull-pull controls on both rudder and elevators
Dylan Reynolds LaserCraft Services
The servos are now fitted! getting all giddy with excitement

Dylan Reynolds LaserCraft Services
Thank you Phil, as regards the mounts, I posted the pics on Facebook and it was commented that the idea may be patented, it is something I will have to look into, but I can't see how they can be, it's just a servo mount made from wood instead of plastic, just a change of materials doesn't warrant a patent does it? Nice of you to say PV

Jack Banner
I would defo buy some from you Dylan, especially if I was able to specify the servo size, mounting area and wood thickness etc.

Dylan Reynolds LaserCraft Services
So with the servos built in and the rigging points in place, I decided it was time to cover the bottom half of the wing... Thats half the bottom done, time for tea now

Dylan Reynolds LaserCraft Services
That was nowhere near as daunting as I thought it would have been
