Spice Cat
I saw this on the back of a transporter today. Either a very ambitious restoration project or an excellent paperweight. Thing is, I cannot identify it. Working on the principle that forumites are the smartest people I know; can anyone identify this?? Chris Anthony
M3 Scout Car - US Army ~WW2 era (like the M3 half track but with a rear axle) Not sure on the other one
Chris Anthony
Apparently the drum on the front of the M3 is an "unditching roller" - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M3_Scout_Car
Dave Hopkin
The truck looks like a 15cwt Chevrolet to me The unditching roller (in theory) works by preventing the front of the vehicle grounding when crossing a ditch - the roller acts like a wheel and allows it to move forwards liftling itself out of the ditch

Matthew Wilder
The first pic posted several years ago looks a lot like a Marmon-Herrington armoured car. My father-in-law was actually restoring one in South Africa.
