I found that staining worked surprisingly well on balsa sheet (once I'd sorted by glue mark disaster!). I'd obviously stained the odd cabane strut cover etc in the past, but never expanses of sheet. Slowly getting there Done my u/c, turned out quite neat, what you think ? it has a little forward rake because of comments made by others also done my main mast, just need a flag on it now. There is not a lot of room up front - I had to get a FrSky current sensor in there as well! The battery compartment has no locating bits or fastening down velcro in mine - because the only remaining space is exactly "3s 2200mAh battery" shaped! Bit of brass plate and collet and we have a wheel hub, will screw them to inside of wheels. Just hinges to glue in and hatch cover to do, also closed loop for rudder.
