Steve Dunning
18 May 2014 Please note that members will also be flying. Free tea and coffee available all day. Toilet facilities. Barbecue lit but please bring your own food to cook. Could people state if they are coming to have some idea on numbers please? DIRECTIONS Leave Retford on the Leverton road. Continue on for 5 miles. In leverton village carry straight on passing the post office and Royal Oak PH Drive through the village until the road narrows over a small bridge and then becomes a single track lane. After 1/2 a mile our flying site is on the right Hope this helps Steve Edited By Steve Dunning on 03/05/2014 10:49:42 Edited By Steve Dunning on 03/05/2014 10:50:01 Edited By Steve Dunning on 03/05/2014 10:50:18 Edited By Steve Dunning on 03/05/2014 10:51:

Bob Cotsford
I remember how many times I drove back and forth looking for the entrance last year - it's certainly a discreet site! IIRC it looks like the entrance to a business doesn't it?

Steve Dunning
One further incentive is the fact that there will be toast and marmalade for participants at 10am!
Paul Jefferies
Well, I've got "Symphony No.3" back together with some new electric retracts........ It last flew in 1987. ' Ran the motor and all seems well but the weather has been so lousy I haven't been able to test fly it yet, let alone practice any schedules......... What format will the Retford meeting take, will there be a comp of sorts or is it simply a "fun fly"? Paul
Steve Dunning
It will be a Fun Fly style Paul. Comps not allowed at Retford and most seem happy at the moment to enjoy get- togethers' and flying these classic models. It'll not stop some trying some schedules and that may get others enthused too try their hand.
Martin McIntosh
I was hoping to attend but I am afraid that it is just too far away to justify the travel cost. Anyway, have a good day all; at least the weather god should be smiling. Martin McIntosh
Steve Dunning
Thanks for the good wishes Martin. A 'do' further south would balance the books and widen the catchment of fliers.
Paul Jefferies
"A 'do' further south would balance the books and widen the catchment of fliers."............ I would certainly vote for that! Paul
Steve Dunning
Pilots attending will be directed where to park on the day. The club runs a 'peg on' system, even for 2.4GHz, just a peg with your name on will suffice. Don't forget, toast and marmalade at 10am, Barbie lit for your own food, plus free tea and coffee all day. C U there Steve BTW, test flew the Adagio today, well pleased.
