john stones 1 - Moderator
I used dowels on the front of my wing so I have angled the fairings and rear of the wing, so it'll fit in. Not very clear on the picture John
Nev
I'm just doing my wing fairing bit now and am trying incorporate the same thing. I've shaped / sanded the hardwood block to angle back about 8 degrees, I think it will be enough. Not done the fus yet though so am doing it a bit blind. I am assuming I can fit the mating plate in the fus to suit the wing as I build it, looks like that's how you have done it. Good timing. Nev. john stones 1 - Moderator
I just kept fitting n fiddling till I got the wing to fit Nev, nothing wrong with two bolts I prefer this is all. You could move the fuzz former back slightly and shape some balsa glued to it maybe. John
Nev
I'm expecting a bit of fettling later
john stones 1 - Moderator
Bit more done, seems like we are struggling with our mojos a bit The rear of my wing is sorted, I put two dowels at front and a wing bolt at the rear and I can fit it and have a small gap. john stones 1 - Moderator
And here we have it, bit of fettling to do when flaps and fairing are fitted. John Edited By john stones 1 on 01/02/2015 19:28:

Nev
Nice one John, looks like it's going to workout well. That must be most of the big stuff done now, you should soon be able to crack on with the rivets. I'm not flagging, just a bit slower than most. It has its advantages though, you ca see how everybody else have done it first. Nev.

A.A. Barry
John, I found it easier to fix the wing to the Fuz and build accordingly, following the wing profile Barry
john stones 1 - Moderator
That's my plan Barry, i'll be back John

john stones 1 - Moderator
Planed and sanded flaps/ailerons up and cut hinge slots, apart from G3 the rest of plan cut bits are rubbish on the fairings, tomorrows the big day John
A.A. Barry
Yes John I had much the same opinion, after several attempts of using them,.....I laid a template up to the Fuz and fashioned my own Barry Edited By A.A. Andy Muckley
Same here John i just basically made them to suit the flaps and profiled them back to the fus, lokking good may i add
john stones 1 - Moderator
I viewed the Silver fullsize photo then went with what I thought it showed, so I did the ply rear piece straightish Here's my bits. John
john stones 1 - Moderator
Here's what it looks like before sanding John
A.A. Barry
Yep looks good to me If I had thought of it earlier, I would have concaved the fairing T/E, rather than convexed, it would look a lot better Barry Edited By A.A. Nev
I think thats how it should be too. It just looks curved from certain angles. Yours looks very straight though, looking from the tail is the top bit of sheet curved in the same way as the bottom, that would make it look curved. john stones 1 - Moderator
I slotted the ply into the fuzz, but never glued it until I clamped the sheeting on, now it has taken on the curve (not glued in pic) that make sense to you ? And there's a bit of sanding to do yet John Edited By john stones 1 on 05/02/2015 20:23:
Nev
Rubbish drawing but this is what i was trying to say. The curve of fuselage to wing filet, continuing into the fairing will make it "look" as if the rear edge has a curve and not just a straight 45 deg angle still not making sense, sorry. but when you get it sanded into a nice curved filet i think it will look the part. john stones 1 - Moderator
Yes that's how it looks Nev, I should have used my green card John
Nev
should look great. I noticed some blue card creeping in on your gunfighter build too
